As the 2012 United States presidential election draws nearer each day, a theme of both campaigns continues to resonate - where are the details? As WSKG of PBS reports, both President Obama and Governor Romney have been more than quiet about the specifics of their tax plans. Instead, both parties seem more interested in debunking the other side's view rather than building theirs.

The Obama campaign has taken a humourous approach to criticizing Romney's proposal.

In response, Republican Senator Pat Toomey has said of the Obama plan:

President Obama’s tax increases lead to slower economic growth, a weaker manufacturing sector, fewer jobs, stagnant or declining wages and reduced opportunities.
