The Super Bowl halftime show has its performer. Beyonce Knowles has been confirmed as the headlining entertainment during the intermission of America's biggest game.

A source familiar with Super Bowl XLVII told The Associated Press the Grammy-winning diva will take the stage at the halftime show on Feb. 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The 31-year-old, Grammy Award-winning artist follows in the footsteps of Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty to name a few.
